First and foremost, Visitation Academy is a community of faith. We practice our faith daily by starting each day with prayer. We know that by developing strong roots of faith, students will not only lead happier and more peaceful lives now, they will also become adults who seek out lives of eternal purpose. Therefore, we offer them every possible encounter with God:
Middle School Adoration weekly
Prayer Services throughout the year
Religion taught in every grade
Exposure to the Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Stations of the Cross, particular novenas, and other Catholic devotional practices
The atmosphere of faith principles and values present at Visitation Academy is not exclusively for Catholics. There are many parents in our community both Christian and non-Christian, who welcome and seek out the opportunity to offer this same foundation to their children.
Our goal is to give your children a Christian educational environment. We respect families from different faiths and this is reflected in our student body. Religion class is taught daily as part of our curriculum and Catholic prayers and liturgies are practiced. Non-Catholic students are required to participate in religious studies. Just as we will respect your faith we expect you to respect the values and teachings we uphold as a Roman Catholic Institution.
LOVING AND SERVING OTHERS
Visitation Academy instills in our students the value of serving others. Throughout the year we work with local food pantries, shelters and St. Jude's Children's Hospital by providing food, toys and donations. We pray for people suffering during natural disasters and hold “dress up” days to raise money to send them. We provide students countless opportunities to serve others.
