CLASS PARENTS NEEDED

We are in search of parents to volunteer to assist their child’s teacher and the HSA during the course of the school year.  We are in need of 2 parents per class.  If you have multiple children in the school, you may only be a class parent for one child.

Some of the responsibilities of the class parent are:

• Coordinating and helping out at class parties/functions with your child’s teacher and other parents (attendance on class trips is at the discretion of the teacher)

• Forwarding information to your class families

• Helping out the HSA in such ways as hospitality assistance with some of our events, presence at Catholic School’s Week activities, and attendance at general HSA meetings

• Volunteering for the Spring Gala and one other HSA sponsored event

• We require one class parent per class grade to volunteer with their vehicle for trunk or treat.
  Other responsibilities may be added as the year progresses depending on the needs of the teacher, the class itself or HSA.

Please consider the opportunity to be a class parent.  This position allows you to be active in your child’s class and school.  It also helps make this academic year a special one for you, your child and the school community.  Please either fill out the google form BELOW by Friday September 13th. 

Class parents are chosen at random by the teachers.  If you are not chosen, but were interested, your name will be given to the selected class parents and to your child’s teacher so that you may be called upon as an alternate to help out.  If you are chosen, you will be notified by Friday September 27th, 2024.  All class parents will be asked to attend a brief meeting on Tuesday , October 1st @ 7pm to discuss further information. 

Please note to be a volunteer at Visitation Academy in any capacity, you must complete Protecting God’s Children Workshop and remain certified.  Please look for information regarding this workshop via email and text message.
